I've been involved in creative activities since I was a girl growing up in Oklahoma. I credit my mother for my artistic inclinations. When I was small we sat around the kitchen table and made things...We started with creepy crawlers (plastic bugs you baked in an oven) and clothespin reindeer, then moved on to painting flower pots and collaging coffee cans. I am inspired by travel, roadtrips, signs, graffiti, folk art and nature. My illustrations are done primarily with pen and ink and sometimes I combine them in Photoshop with marbled papers or other textures I create by hand. inspiration: In art as in life, inspiration can be found in unusual and unexpected places. I look for surprises in my daily travels and try to remember to slow down and notice the beauty, humor and (sometimes) absurdity that's right outside the door.

Mexico I've been visiting Mexico every year since 1980. The bright colors and vitality of the people are always an inspiration for art and photography.

Road Trips Off the beaten track, small town traveling is the way I like to go. My car makes sudden stops for photographs and BAR-B-Q...
